Tell us what you want to build: how many head, which breed, breeding, fattening or dairy. We draw a dated, step-by-step plan and show how to run each step in Throf.
1. Your project
2. Your animals
Space, feeders and water are sized for this number, so you do not build twice.
3. Where you are today
Your project roadmap
Naimi Sheep breeding: start with 50 females and reach a herd of 150 head within a year.
Every phase with its dates, tasks, and how to do it in Throf.
Leave your name and number once and the full result opens, along with every free Throf tool.
An indicative plan — durations and numbers vary with breed, region and management. Check with a vet or specialist.
How the plan is built
We start from your start date and add preparation time by your experience and land.
Quarantine is 21 days for every new batch; pregnancy is about 147 days for sheep and 150 for goats.
For Eid al-Adha fattening we work back from the Eid date on the Umm al-Qura calendar.
Space, water and feed are sized for the target with the 3D farm planner’s values.
Starting a sheep or goat project — common questions
How do I start a sheep farm from scratch?
Plan first: goal (breeding, fattening or dairy), numbers, breed and land. Then build pens for the target, buy from a trusted source, quarantine new animals for 21 days, and record every head from day one.
When should I buy lambs to be ready for Eid?
Fattening takes about 3–4 months after quarantine. The tool works out the buying date back from the Eid al-Adha date.
How many rams do I need?
As a guideline, about one ram per 30 ewes in the mating season.
Do I need farm software from the start?
Yes — a record from day one gives you the real cost per head and profit. Throf is free up to 25 head.
